Week Two: Reading Post: Leading from any Chair

Leadership is born out of inner greatness.  Everyone has inner greatness.  True leaders do not need to lead from the head of the table, but rather can sit in any chair and by empowering others, leads behind the scenes. It is indeed a skill to both recognize others strengths and let go of the need to be the "one" who knows.
In this chapter, the example of the author's experiences with being a conductor of an orchestra is an effective illustration of leading, empowering, supporting and all from a place of recognizing that by building up others, it elevates the entire team no matter the context. I believe that being a true leader means you can indeed sit in any chair.
